ekuBOX Shipping, Returns & Terms of Sale
By placing an order on ekubox.com, you agree to the following terms. These policies are designed to ensure the pristine presentation of our curated gifts and to protect the interests of both the sender and the recipient.
1. Shipping & Handling Policy
A. Free Shipping Eligibility (Contiguous U.S. Only)
The "Per Box" Rule: ekuBOX offers free standard shipping only on individual gift boxes priced at $100 or more.
Qualification: Eligibility is determined per gift box, after all discounts/coupons are applied and before taxes.
Combined Totals: A total cart value exceeding $100 does not qualify for free shipping if the individual gift boxes within that cart are priced under $100 each.
Exclusions: This discount cannot be combined with other promotional offers, vouchers, or corporate discounts.
B. Shipping Charges for Boxes Under $100
To ensure our signature presentation arrives in pristine condition, each gift box is packed and shipped individually. Gift boxes priced under $100 incur a separate shipping charge per box, regardless of the quantity purchased or if they are being sent to the same destination address.
C. Order Processing & Dispatch
Warehouse Hours
Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Closed on weekends and federal holidays.
Daily Order Cut-Off
Our daily order cut-off time is 12:00 PM EST. Orders placed after this time will begin processing on the next business day.
Processing Timeline
Most orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 1–3 business days. During peak holiday periods (November–December), processing times may be extended due to higher order volume.
Holiday Closure
Our warehouse is closed annually from December 24 through January 3.
Shipping & Delivery
Shipments leave our facility Monday through Friday.
Once your order has shipped:
Next Day Air shipments are expected to arrive the following business day.
2-Day Air shipments are expected to arrive two business days after shipment.
Delivery timelines begin once the order has left our facility, not when the order is placed.
Expedited Shipping
Per-Box Charges
Expedited shipping fees are charged per box. If multiple boxes are purchased, the expedited shipping fee will apply to each box individually.
If any adjustments to your order or shipping charges are required, we will contact you directly before processing the shipment.
Carrier Limitations
Shipping carriers such as UPS and FedEx do not guarantee delivery dates for many services. Shipping charges are non-refundable if delays occur due to carrier volume, weather conditions, mechanical issues, or other events outside of our control (Force Majeure).
D. Expedited Shipping & Alaska/Hawaii
No Guarantees: Carriers do not guarantee arrival dates. Expedited fees are non-refundable, even in the event of carrier delays, weather, or mechanical issues.
Alaska/Hawaii: Shipping charges apply to all orders outside the contiguous U.S. If the automated checkout rate is inaccurate, we will contact you with an updated quote for approval before shipping.
2. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
A. All Sales are Final
Due to the curated and often perishable nature of ekuBOX gifts, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for any reason other than documented shipping damage or fulfillment errors.
B. Order Cancellations
We process orders rapidly. Once an order enters our fulfillment system, it cannot be canceled or modified. If you need to cancel, contact us immediately; however, if the order has been processed, it is ineligible for a refund.
3. Delivery Issues & Carrier Liability
A. Transfer of Risk
The risk of loss and title for all merchandise passes to the carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS) upon our delivery to them. ekuBOX is not liable for carrier delays, weather disruptions, or "porch theft" after a package has been marked as "Delivered."
B. Lost or Damaged Items
If an item arrives damaged, you must notify us at hello@ekubox.com within 48 hours of delivery.
Requirements: Include your order number and clear photos of the outer shipping box, inner packaging, and damaged contents.
Retention: Keep all packaging materials until the claim is resolved.
C. Route Package Protection (Optional)
We strongly recommend Route Package Protection at checkout. Route covers lost, stolen, and damaged items. If you opt-out of Route, ekuBOX will assist in a carrier claim, but coverage and timing are not guaranteed.
4. Address Accuracy & Undeliverable Shipments
Purchaser Responsibility: Please verify addresses carefully. ekuBOX is not responsible for misdeliveries due to incorrect addresses supplied by the purchaser.
Returned Packages: If a shipment is returned to us as undeliverable, we will notify you and hold it for 7 days.
Fees for Reshipping: You will be responsible for a $15 repacking fee, a $25 return-to-sender fee (carrier cost), and the new shipping charges to the corrected address.
5. Force Majeure (Events Beyond Our Control)
ekuBOX shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to:
Acts of God, natural disasters, or extreme weather (heat, snow, floods).
Carrier disruptions, postal strikes, or mechanical failures of transport.
Pandemics, governmental restrictions, or civil unrest.
Power outages or significant internet/server failures.
In such events, our obligations are suspended for the duration of the event. We do not offer refunds or discounts for delays caused by these circumstances.
