The Personal Connection to Women-Owned Businesses

Our commitment to assisting businesses owned by women is deeply personal. Paula, the founder and proprietor of ekuBOX, has a strong connection to such enterprises, having been raised in one. Her mother, Mary, started a restaurant in the 1950's when it was uncommon for a woman to run a business, especially as a single woman in her twenties, born to Italian immigrants who didn't speak English. Despite the challenges, Mary succeeded in establishing a thriving 250-seat restaurant that lasted for 48 years and gained widespread recognition. Paula carries on the legacy of female entrepreneurship with her two online businesses, PaulaandChlo.com an online women's apparel and accessory boutique and ekuBOX.com a luxury gift box company.
